The Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) is the defense sector’s own research institution, conducting applied research and development to ensure Norway has an effective and relevant defense, a secure society, and a competitive defense industry.
FFI is organized into five research departments. “H.U. Sverdrup II” is FFI’s research vessel. FFI is located in Kjeller and Horten.
