TØI (Institute of Transport Economics) is a national center for transport research in Norway. It serves as a crucial instrument for independent research across all aspects of transportation and is tasked with disseminating information about its research findings.
Established in 1964, TØI was reorganized into an independent private foundation in 1986. The institute receives basic funding from the Research Council of Norway.
